Some minutes went by and I explained why I was taking videos on a bus and that I wasn't out to get any faces of strangers and stuff but she hadn't any sympathy, she said I needed permission to get people on camera. She's right though. When the bus hit the mall I asked if she was getting off and she didn't answer bent to gather up all her bags. I got up to make room and she left.

Lady I Met on Bus
I was taking videos of my friend on PVTA this afternoon because he wanted random footage of bus activity for a movie we were making for his avant-garde film class. I was on an aisle seat and he was across the aisle. The sun was setting and I pointed my little camera toward the window on my side to see the dirty world outside all barren brown and cold, and the woman I happened to be sitting next to covered her face and said "you better not be taking anything of me, I don't want to be in anyone's pictures." The only thing I could say was "Sorry," I couldn't think of anything else. Since her face was now hidden from me it was hard to tell if she was kindhearted and sort of joking about it or if she was really mad at me. I was sure it was the second one, and I realized that by saying sorry I was admitting to getting her on camera, which I didn't.
